This used to be the place I called home, my front gate. In the morning it would be cool, and in the afternoon, this street would get a slice of light running through it. Every day, as the seasons passed, it would be different. But it would always be beautiful. And it was generally always quiet as well, even during the market day.
There are so many memories that I am grateful to have lived here. Soon after I moved into the apartment, I fell in love with someone who was always very busy. Although I didn’t see him a lot, he would try to make up for it by leaving me things by this gate.
Some days he would leave flowers, some days he would leave notes that he had passed by, some days he would leave fruit that I could have for breakfast in the morning. On Easter, he left me chocolates because I had told him that it was my favourite holiday of the year.
I had never been loved in this way before and… well as I said before, sometimes you are not ready for life. But I would like it to be true, that life is always there ready, waiting for you.
