At Home, Elsewhere

learning how to be at home

Four days to go, and I haven’t packed yet

Soon, I’ll be leaving Australia again. For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve been travelling for a while now. I’ve kind of gotten used to it. But honestly, every time I leave to a new place, or say goodbye to another… it feels like the first time. There are always so many emotions, and I’m never really sure exactly what I’m doing or why I am travelling again. I just think well… it’s possible for me, so why not?

There are a few things I have learned after my years of travel. These are some of the things that I will share in the coming days. After all, even though travelling is pretty common these days, I don’t think that too many people live the life I’m living. That’s when I decided that I’d start a blog… finally. I was honestly a bit worried about what I was going to say – but this is what I love about the internet. We can see the points of view of so many people, without actually having to travel to meet them! We can read about the opinion of almost anyone on the planet who is willing to share it. So this is my corner of the web, and I plan to have some fun with it. I hope you’ll come along with me, and find some interesting things to read about too.

Who knows what could happen, life is serendipitous. We might as well have fun along the way. So here is my plan – in four days, I go to Taipei! I’ll stay there for a couple weeks, and get to know my friend. We met online three years ago, and it will be the first time that I see her in person. I have done this several times over the years, met “online” friends in real life… and it’s always been such a great experience. I am sure that things will go well this time, too. I like to remain positive.

I will try and write every day. Indeed, writing for me is like breathing. I have no plan… let’s just see what spontaneously happens to us along the way! Might as well… these days I have a motto: don’t miss out, live your life now. And it’s something I like to live by.

If you’d like to see my travel in images, then you can find me on Instagram: @awakeinadaydream. I’m considering starting a youtube channel, and I will no doubt update you in my blog if I do.

Just a quick note for now… I will speak with you again later!
